2. General information on data processing

We only process personal data of our users to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our app ("Fitness Coach"). Processing is based on the legal grounds set out in Art. 6 (1) GDPR.

3. Data processing on this website

3.1 Server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, browser type and version, operating system and referrer URL. This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of the website). Log files are deleted after [retention period, e.g. 7 days].

3.2 Hosting

This website is hosted on a server operated by Strato. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) has been concluded with the provider.

3.3 Cookies

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking services.

4. Data processing in the app

4.1 Registration and account

A user account is required to use the app. We process your email address, a password (encrypted/hashed) and the profile data provided during onboarding (name, year of birth, fitness goal, activity level). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

For authentication we use Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your email address and authentication data are transmitted to Google. More information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4.2 Health and fitness data

The app processes health and fitness data you enter, in particular: body weight and measurements, body fat percentage, nutrition data (meals, calories, macronutrients), water intake, sleep data, training data (plans, workouts, weights), medications and supplements, and progress photos. Some of this constitutes special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR.

This data is processed exclusively to provide the app's features, based on your explicit consent (Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR) given during registration. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting your account.

The data is stored on our server in [server location, e.g. Germany/EU] and is not used for advertising purposes or sold to third parties.

4.3 Community features

If you join or create groups, your display name and the progress data you share (e.g. leaderboard ranking) are visible to other group members. Messages in the group chat are visible to all members of the respective group. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

4.4 Push notifications

With your consent, the app sends you reminders and notifications (e.g. measurement reminders). You can disable these at any time in the system or app settings. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

5. Retention period

We store your data for as long as your user account exists. After you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

7. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app under More → Settings, or contact us by email at info at rg-fitness.de.

8. Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
